2010-07-11pci: don't overwrite multi functio bit in pci header type.Isaku Yamahata1-1/+0
Don't overwrite pci header type. Otherwise, multi function bit which pci_init_header_type() sets appropriately is lost. Anyway PCI_HEADER_TYPE_NORMAL is zero, so it is unnecessary to zero which is already zero cleared. how to test: run qemu and issue info pci to see whether a device in question is normal device, not pci-to-pci bridge. 2009-11-09pci: introduce pcibus_t to represent pci bus address/size instead of uint32_tIsaku Yamahata1-1/+1
This patch is preliminary for 64 bit BAR support. Introduce dedicated type, pcibus_t, to represent pci bus address/size instead of uint32_t. Later this type will be changed to uint64_t. 2009-08-27qdev: add return value to init() callbacks.Gerd Hoffmann1-1/+2
Sorry folks, but it has to be. One more of these invasive qdev patches. We have a serious design bug in the qdev interface: device init callbacks can't signal failure because the init() callback has no return value. This patch fixes it. We have already one case in-tree where this is needed: Try -device virtio-blk-pci (without drive= specified) and watch qemu segfault. This patch fixes it. With usb+scsi being converted to qdev we'll get more devices where the init callback can fail for various reasons. 2009-07-09Don't leak VLANClientState on PCI hot removeMark McLoughlin1-3/+3
destroy_nic() requires that NICInfo::private by a PCIDevice pointer, but then goes on to require that the same pointer matches VLANClientState::opaque. That is no longer the case for virtio-net since qdev and wasn't previously the case for rtl8139, ne2k_pci or eepro100. Make the situation a lot more clear by maintaining a VLANClientState pointer in NICInfo. Signed-off-by: Mark McLoughlin <markmc@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2009-07-09qdev: update pci device registration.Gerd Hoffmann1-1/+7
Makes pci_qdev_register take a PCIDeviceInfo struct instead of a bunch of parameters. Also adds config_read and config_write callbacks to PCIDeviceInfo, so drivers needing these can be converted to the qdev device API too. Signed-off-by: Gerd Hoffmann <kraxel@redhat.com>

2009-06-09net: re-name vc->fd_read() to vc->receive()Mark McLoughlin1-1/+1
VLANClientState's fd_read() handler doesn't read from file descriptors, it adds a buffer to the client's receive queue. Re-name the handlers to make things a little less confusing. Signed-off-by: Mark McLoughlin <markmc@redhat.com>
2009-06-09net: add fd_readv() handler to qemu_new_vlan_client() argsMark McLoughlin1-2/+2

2009-03-13Add and use remaining #defines for PCI device IDs (Stuart Brady)aliguori1-1/+1
This patch adds and uses #defines for the remaining hardcoded PCI device IDs. It also moves definitions taken from linux/pci_ids.h into a separate header (hw/pci_ids.h), removes the 'RTL' from PCI_DEVICE_ID_REALTEK_RTL8029, and renames PCI_DEVICE_ID_FSL_E500 to PCI_DEVICE_ID_MPC8533E to match Linux's definition. Changes in v2: * Don't use C99-style comments * Move definitions from linux/pci_ids.h into a separate header * Rename PCI_DEVICE_ID_FSL_E500 to PCI_DEVICE_ID_MPC8533E Signed-off-by: Stuart Brady <stuart.brady@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com> git-svn-id: svn://svn.savannah.nongnu.org/qemu/trunk@6841 c046a42c-6fe2-441c-8c8c-71466251a162

2009-02-01Add and use #defines for PCI device classesblueswir11-2/+1
This patch adds and uses #defines for PCI device classes and subclases, using a new pci_config_set_class() function, similar to the recently added pci_config_set_vendor_id() and pci_config_set_device_id(). 2009-01-26Define PCI vendor and device IDs in pci.h (Stuart Brady)aliguori1-4/+2
This patch defines PCI vendor and device IDs in pci.h (matching those from Linux's pci_ids.h), and uses those definitions where appropriate. 2009-01-13Check NIC model in some NIC init functions (Mark McLoughlin)aliguori1-0/+2

2009-01-07Add a model string to VLANClientState (Mark McLoughlin)aliguori1-4/+4
Don't lose track of what type/model a vlan client is so that we can e.g. assign a global per-model id to clients. The entire patch is basically a tedious excercise in making sure the type/model string gets propagated down to qemu_new_vlan_client().
