2019-05-18tools: use read-only mmap in fit_check_signLuca Boccassi1-3/+6
Add an option to open files in read-only mode in mmap_fdt so that fit_check_sign can be used to inspect files on read-only filesystems. For example, this is useful when a key is shipped in a read-only rootfs or squashfs. Signed-off-by: Luca Boccassi <luca.boccassi@microsoft.com>
2019-03-08fdt: Fix FIT header verification in mkimage and conduct same checks as bootmJordan Hand1-1/+4
FIT header verification in mkimage was treating a return code as a boolean, which meant that failures in validating the fit were seen as successes. Additionally, mkimage was checking all formats to find a header which passes validation, rather than using the image type specified to mkimage. checkpatch.pl checks for lines ending with '(' and alignment matching open parentheses are ignored to keep with existing coding style. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2014-03-21tools, fit: add fit_info host commandHeiko Schocher1-0/+86
add fit_info command to the host tools. This command prints the name, offset and the len from a property from a node in a fit file. This info can be used to extract a properties data with linux tools, for example "dd". Signed-off-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
