2023-12-28test: Add framework to test hush behaviorFrancis Laniel1-0/+6
Introduce a new subcommand to ut: ut hush. For the moment, this command does nothing, future commits will add tests which will be run on command call. 2023-12-13test: Add a new suite for commandsSimon Glass1-0/+6
Add a new suite for 'cmd' tests, used for testing commands. These are kept in the test/cmd directory. For now it is empty, but it will be used for coreboot-command tests. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2023-12-13command: Introduce functions to obtain command argumentsSimon Glass1-1/+1
Add some functions which provide an argument to a command, or NULL if the argument does not exist. Use the same numbering as argv[] since it seems less confusing than the previous idea. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Suggested-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

https://source.denx.de/u-boot/custodians/u-boot-tpm bootX measurements and measurement API moved to u-boot core: Up to now, U-Boot could perform measurements and EventLog creation as described by the TCG spec when booting via EFI. The EFI code was residing in lib/efi_loader/efi_tcg2.c and contained both EFI specific code + the API needed to access the TPM, extend PCRs and create an EventLog. The non-EFI part proved modular enough and moving it around to the TPM subsystem was straightforward. With that in place we can have a common API for measuring binaries regardless of the boot command, EFI or boot(m|i|z), and contructing an EventLog. I've tested all of the EFI cases -- booting with an empty EventLog and booting with a previous stage loader providing one and found no regressions. Eddie tested the bootX part. Eddie also fixed the sandbox TPM which couldn't be used for the EFI code and it now supports all the required capabilities. This had a slight sideeffect in our testing since the EFI subsystem initializes the TPM early and 'tpm2 init' failed during some python tests. That code only opens the device though, so we can replace it with 'tpm2 autostart' which doesn't error out and still allows you to perfom the rest of the tests but doesn't report an error if the device is already opened. There's a few minor issues with this PR as well but since testing and verifying the changes takes a considerable amount of time, I prefer merging it now. Heinrich has already sent a PR for -master containing "efi_loader: fix EFI_ENTRY point on get_active_pcr_banks" and I am not sure if that will cause any conflicts, but in any case they should be trivial to resolve. Both the EFI and non-EFI code have a Kconfig for measuring the loaded Device Tree. The reason this is optional is that we can't reason when/if devices add random info like kaslr-seed, mac addresses etc in the DT. In that case measurements are random, board specific and eventually useless. The reason it was difficult to fix it prior to this patchset is because the EFI subsystem and thus measurements was brought up late and DT fixups might have already been applied. With this patchset we can measure the DT really early in the future. Heinrich also pointed out that the two Kconfigs for the DTB measurements can be squashed in a single one and that the documentation only explains the non-EFI case. I agree on both but as I said this is a sane working version, so let's pull this first it's aleady big enough and painful to test.

2023-10-24cmd: mbr: Allow 4 MBR partitions without need for extendedAlexander Gendin1-0/+4
Current code allows up to 3 MBR partitions without extended one. If more than 3 partitions are required, then extended partition(s) must be used. This commit allows up to 4 primary MBR partitions without the need for extended partition. Add mbr test unit. In order to run the test manually, mmc6.img file of size 12 MiB or greater is required in the same directory as u-boot. Test also runs automatically via ./test/py/test.py tool. 2023-02-06cmd: Add a SEAMA image load commandLinus Walleij1-0/+6
Add a command to load SEAMA (Seattle Image), a NAND flash on-flash storage format. This type of flash image is found in some D-Link routers such as DIR-645, DIR-842, DIR-859, DIR-860L, DIR-885L, DIR890L and DCH-M225, as well as in WD and NEC routers on the ath79 (MIPS), Broadcom BCM53xx, and RAMIPS platforms. This U-Boot command will read and decode a SEAMA image from raw NAND flash on any platform. As it is always using big endian format for the data decoding is always necessary on platforms such as ARM. The command is needed to read a SEAMA-encoded boot image on the D-Link DIR-890L router for boot from NAND flash in an upcoming port of U-Boot to the Broadcom Northstar (BCM4709, BCM53xx) architecture. A basic test and documentation is added as well. The test must be run on a target with NAND flash support and at least one resident SEAMA image in flash. 2022-10-31test: Support tests which can only be run manuallySimon Glass1-3/+13
At present we normally write tests either in Python or in C. But most Python tests end up doing a lot of checks which would be better done in C. Checks done in C are orders of magnitude faster and it is possible to get full access to U-Boot's internal workings, rather than just relying on the command line. The model is to have a Python test set up some things and then use C code (in a unit test) to check that they were done correctly. But we don't want those checks to happen as part of normal test running, since each C unit tests is dependent on the associate Python tests, so cannot run without it. To acheive this, add a new UT_TESTF_MANUAL flag to use with the C 'check' tests, so that they can be skipped by default when the 'ut' command is used. Require that tests have a name ending with '_norun', so that pytest knows to skip them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2020-01-10test/cmd_ut.c: fix cmd_ut_categoryPhilippe Reynes1-1/+1
In the function cmd_ut_category, the prefix is used with the function strncmp to know if the prefix should be removed from the test name, even if the prefix is NULL. To avoid this issue, we consider that a prefix NULL mean no prefix. So we only try to remove the prefix from the test_name if the prefix is not NULL, then we avoid to call the function strncmp with a NULL prefix. 2020-01-07cmd_ut: add a parameter prefix to the function cmd_ut_categoryPhilippe Reynes1-2/+10
There is black magic in the file conftest.py that list all the test unit. Then, all those test unit are called in pytest. This call is done with the end of the name (for example checksum if the full name is bloblist_test_checksum). The result is that only test for dm are really executed. by pytest, all others tests are listed but never executed. This behaviour happens because the dm test unit only check the end of the name and others tests checks the full name. To fix this issue, I've added a prefix to the function cmd_ut_category, and this prefix is removed when looking for the unit test. 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini1-2/+1
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
