2022-12-05global: Move remaining CONFIG_SYS_NAND_* to CFG_SYS_NAND_*Tom Rini1-4/+4
The rest of the unmigrated CONFIG symbols in the CONFIG_SYS_NAND namespace do not easily transition to Kconfig. In many cases they likely should come from the device tree instead. Move these out of CONFIG namespace and in to CFG namespace. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com> Reviewed-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2022-10-31Rename CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE to CONFIG_TEXT_BASESimon Glass1-5/+5
The current name is inconsistent with SPL which uses CONFIG_SPL_TEXT_BASE and this makes it imposible to use CONFIG_VAL(). Rename it to resolve this problem. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2020-07-17treewide: convert bd_t to struct bd_info manuallyMasahiro Yamada1-2/+2
Some code was not converted by coccinelle, somehow. I manually fixed up the remaining, and comments, README docs. Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org> [trini: Add arch/arm/mach-davinci/include/mach/sdmmc_defs.h and include/fdt_support.h] Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2018-09-20mtd: move NAND files into a raw/ subdirectoryMiquel Raynal1-1/+1
NAND flavors, like serial and parallel, have a lot in common and would benefit to share code. Let's move raw (parallel) NAND specific code in a raw/ subdirectory, to ease the addition of a core file in nand/ and the introduction of a spi/ subdirectory specific to SPI NANDs. This also fixes support for mx31pdk and tx25, which had been broken by commit e05e5de7fae5bec79617e113916dac6631251156. Signed-off-by: Benoît Thébaudeau <benoit.thebaudeau@advansee.com> Acked-by: Scott Wood <scottwood@freescale.com> Tested-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com>

2011-05-12README.arm-relocation: get relocated address in gdbBen Gardiner1-0/+8
When your emulator is connected at reset (or is used to load u-boot) it is possible to get the relocation address from the gd->relocaddr since gd is always in r8 (on ARM) it is addressable before the gdb has remapped symbols. Document this alternate method in-line with the original method written by Heiko Schocher. 2011-05-12README.arm-relocation: get relocated address from bdinfoBen Gardiner1-31/+22
The bdinfo command prints the relocaddr on ARM as it does on PPC. Update the debugging instructions for arm relocation to reflect this fact rather than requiring that the user rebuild the u-boot image using -DDEBUG. 2010-10-29Drop support for CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOCWolfgang Denk1-7/+0
When this define was introduced, the idea was to provide a soft migration path for ARM boards to get adapted to the new relocation support. However, other recent changes led to a different implementation (ELF relocation), where this no longer works. By now CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC does not only not help any more, but it actually hurts because it obfuscates the actual code by sprinkling it with lots of dead and non-working debris. So let's make a clean cut and drop CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de> Tested-by: Heiko Schocher <hs@denx.de> Tested-by: Reinhard Meyer <u-boot@emk-elektronik.de>
2010-10-29Replace CONFIG_RELOC_FIXUP_WORKS by CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOCWolfgang Denk1-3/+2
By now, the majority of architectures have working relocation support, so the few remaining architectures have become exceptions. To make this more obvious, we make working relocation now the default case, and flag the remaining cases with CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOC. 2010-10-18Rename TEXT_BASE: fix merge conflictsWolfgang Denk1-5/+5
Commit 14d0a02a "Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE" missed a few places, especially for boards that were added inbetween. Fix the remaining issues. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
2010-10-18Rename TEXT_BASE into CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASEWolfgang Denk1-6/+6
The change is currently needed to be able to remove the board configuration scripting from the top level Makefile and replace it by a simple, table driven script. Moving this configuration setting into the "CONFIG_*" name space is also desirable because it is needed if we ever should move forward to a Kconfig driven configuration system. 2010-10-13arm: implement ELF relocationsAlbert Aribaud1-182/+40
ELF relocation tables generated with linker option -pie can be used to fixup code and data in a single loop at relocation, removing the need for manual fixups anywhere else in the code. Signed-off-by: Albert Aribaud <albert.aribaud@free.fr>
2010-09-19ARM: implement relocation for ARM926Heiko Schocher1-0/+23
Change the implementation for arm926 to relocate the code to an arbitrary address in RAM. Adapt the TX25 (i.MX25), magnesium board to test the changes. On the tx25 board TEXT_BASE is set to the final relocation address to prevent one more copying of u-boot code when relocating. 2010-09-19ARM: add relocation supportHeiko Schocher1-0/+321
!! This breaks support for all arm boards !! To compile in old style, you must define CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC or you can compile with "CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC=1 ./MAKEALL board" !! This define will be removed soon, so convert your board to use relocation support Portions of this work were supported by funding from the CE Linux Forum.
