2024-07-14scripts/Makefile.lib: EFI: Use capsule CRT instead of ESL fileJonathan Humphreys1-0/+0
The EFI Capsule ESL file (EFI Signature List File) used for authentication is a binary generated from the EFI Capsule public key certificate. Instead of including it in the source repo, automatically generate it from the certificate file during the build process. Currently, sandbox is the only device using this, so removed its ESL file and set the (new) CONFIG_EFI_CAPSULE_CRT_FILE config to point to its public key certificate. 2023-08-29sandbox: capsule: Add keys and certificates needed for capsule update testingSughosh Ganu5-0/+94
Add the private keys and public key certificates which are to be used for capsule authentication while testing the EFI capsule update functionality. There are two pairs of private and public keys, good and bad. The good key pair will be used for signing capsules, whilst the bad key pair is to be used as malicious keys for testing authentication failure cases. The capsule_pub_key_good.crt is also converted to an EFI Signature List(ESL) file, SIGNER.esl, which is embedded in the platform's device-tree for capsule authentication. This information is exposed as a num_image_type_guids variable, but this information should be included in the efi_capsule_update_info structure. 2022-06-08sandbox: Move some mac addresses to device treeSean Anderson1-4/+0
This prevents some conflicts when running sandbox with -D, since the "rom" mac address will be random and won't match the environment. We still need to keep addresses for eth1 and eth6 in the environment, because dm_test_eth_rotate expects to be able to disable them by removing their envaddr variables. This can likely be fixed in a future series by adding a function to cause sandbox eth_opts callback for a particular mac to fail immediately. 2021-01-05dm: Rename U_BOOT_DEVICE() to U_BOOT_DRVINFO()Simon Glass1-1/+1
The current macro is a misnomer since it does not declare a device directly. Instead, it declares driver_info record which U-Boot uses at runtime to create a device. The distinction seems somewhat minor most of the time, but is becomes quite confusing when we actually want to declare a device, with of-platdata. We are left trying to distinguish between a device which isn't actually device, and a device that is (perhaps an 'instance'?) It seems better to rename this macro to describe what it actually is. The macros is not widely used, since boards should use devicetree to declare devices. Rename it to U_BOOT_DRVINFO(), which indicates clearly that this is declaring a new driver_info record, not a device. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2020-07-17treewide: convert bd_t to struct bd_info by coccinelleMasahiro Yamada1-1/+1
The Linux coding style guide (Documentation/process/coding-style.rst) clearly says: It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers. Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make headers self-contained. Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header: void foo(bd_t *bd); This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined. To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h> #include <asm/u-boot.h> void foo(bd_t *bd); Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly. If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward declaration as follows: struct bd_info; void foo(struct bd_info *bd); Right, typedef'ing bd_t is a mistake. I used coccinelle to generate this commit. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: <smpl> @@ typedef bd_t; @@ -bd_t +struct bd_info </smpl> Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>
2020-07-09drivers: rename drivers to match compatible stringWalter Lozano1-1/+1
When using OF_PLATDATA, the bind process between devices and drivers is performed trying to match compatible string with driver names. However driver names are not strictly defined, and also there are different names used when declaring a driver with U_BOOT_DRIVER, the name of the symbol used in the linker list and the used in the struct driver_info. In order to make things a bit more clear, rename the drivers names. This will also help for further OF_PLATDATA improvements, such as checking for valid driver names. 2019-04-23sandbox: Improve debugging in initcall_run_list()Simon Glass1-0/+43
At present if one of the initcalls fails on sandbox the address printing is not help, e.g.: initcall sequence 0000557678967c80 failed at call 00005576709dfe1f (err=-96) This is because U-Boot gets relocated high into memory and the relocation offset (gd->reloc_off) does not work correctly for sandbox. Add support for finding the base address of the text region (at least on Linux) and use that to set the relocation offset. This makes the output better: initcall sequence 0000560775957c80 failed at call 0000000000048134 (err=-96) Then you use can use grep to see which init call failed, e.g.: $ grep 0000000000048134 u-boot.map stdio_add_devices Of course another option is to run it with a debugger such as gdb: $ gdb u-boot ... (gdb) br initcall.h:41 Breakpoint 1 at 0x4db9d: initcall.h:41. (2 locations) Note that two locations are reported, since this function is used in both board_init_f() and board_init_r(). 2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini3-6/+3
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
