2024-05-20Restore patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"Tom Rini1-1/+1
As part of bringing the master branch back in to next, we need to allow for all of these changes to exist here. Reported-by: Jonas Karlman <jonas@kwiboo.se> Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2024-05-19Revert "Merge patch series "arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet""Tom Rini1-1/+1
When bringing in the series 'arm: dts: am62-beagleplay: Fix Beagleplay Ethernet"' I failed to notice that b4 noticed it was based on next and so took that as the base commit and merged that part of next to master. This reverts commit c8ffd1356d42223cbb8c86280a083cc3c93e6426, reversing changes made to 2ee6f3a5f7550de3599faef9704e166e5dcace35. 2021-07-07eb_cpu5282: Declare diplay_width / display_height as externsTom Rini1-2/+2
The board code here references the display_width / display_height variables set in the video driver, declare these as externs as gcc-11 will notice and lead to a multiple definition error. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2021-02-02common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common headerSimon Glass1-0/+1
Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so remove that include. 2020-05-18command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedefSimon Glass1-1/+1
We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward declarations which means that header files must include the full header to access them. Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is now not useful. This requires quite a few header-file additions. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini2-5/+2
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-08-16env: Rename getenv/_f() to env_get()Simon Glass1-4/+4
We are now using an env_ prefix for environment functions. Rename these two functions for consistency. Also add function comments in common.h. Quite a few places use getenv() in a condition context, provoking a warning from checkpatch. These are fixed up in this patch also. 2017-04-13board_f: Rename initdram() to dram_init()Simon Glass1-1/+1

2017-04-05board_f: Drop return value from initdram()Simon Glass1-2/+4

2015-02-21ARM: at91: move board select menu and common settingsMasahiro Yamada2-6/+0
The board select menu in arch/arm/Kconfig is still big. To slim down it, this commit moves AT91 boards to arch/arm/mach-at91/Kconfig. Also, consolidate "config SYS_SOC" in each board Kconfig. The Kconfig files under board/ directory were modified with the following command: find board -name Kconfig | xargs sed -i -e ' /config SYS_SOC/ { N /default "at91"/ { N d } } ' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com> Acked-by: Andreas Bießmann <andreas.devel@googlemail.co>
2015-01-29Export redesignMartin Dorwig1-1/+1
this is an atempt to make the export of functions typesafe. I replaced the jumptable void ** by a struct (jt_funcs) with function pointers. The EXPORT_FUNC macro now has 3 fixed parameters and one variadic parameter The first is the name of the exported function, the rest of the parameters are used to format a functionpointer in the jumptable, the EXPORT_FUNC macros are expanded three times, 1. to declare the members of the struct 2. to initialize the structmember pointers 3. to call the functions in stubs.c Signed-off-by: Martin Dorwig <dorwig@tetronik.com> Acked-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> (resending to the list since my tweaks are not quite trivial)
2014-10-29kconfig: arm: introduce symbol for ARM CPUsGeorges Savoundararadj2-6/+0
This commit introduces a Kconfig symbol for each ARM CPU: CPU_ARM720T, CPU_ARM920T, CPU_ARM926EJS, CPU_ARM946ES, CPU_ARM1136, CPU_ARM1176, CPU_V7, CPU_PXA, CPU_SA1100. Also, it adds the CPU feature Kconfig symbol HAS_VBAR which is selected for CPU_ARM1176 and CPU_V7. For each target, the corresponding CPU is selected and the definition of SYS_CPU in the corresponding Kconfig file is removed. Also, it removes redundant "string" type in some Kconfig files. 2014-09-13kconfig: remove redundant "string" type in arch and board KconfigsMasahiro Yamada3-14/+0
Now the types of CONFIG_SYS_{ARCH, CPU, SOC, VENDOR, BOARD, CONFIG_NAME} are specified in arch/Kconfig. We can delete the ones in arch and board Kconfig files. This commit can be easily reproduced by the following command: find . -name Kconfig -a ! -path ./arch/Kconfig | xargs sed -i -e ' /config[[:space:]]SYS_\(ARCH\|CPU\|SOC\|\VENDOR\|BOARD\|CONFIG_NAME\)/ { N s/\n[[:space:]]*string// } ' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com>
2014-07-30Add board MAINTAINERS filesMasahiro Yamada3-0/+21
We have switched to Kconfig and the boards.cfg file is going to be removed. We have to retrieve the board status and maintainers information from it. The MAINTAINERS format as in Linux Kernel would be nice because we can crib the scripts/get_maintainer.pl script. After some discussion, we chose to put a MAINTAINERS file under each board directory, not the top-level one because we want to collect relevant information for a board into a single place. TODO: Modify get_maintainer.pl to scan multiple MAINTAINERS files. 2014-07-30kconfig: add board Kconfig and defconfig filesMasahiro Yamada3-0/+65
This commit adds: - arch/${ARCH}/Kconfig provide a menu to select target boards - board/${VENDOR}/${BOARD}/Kconfig or board/${BOARD}/Kconfig set CONFIG macros to the appropriate values for each board - configs/${TARGET_BOARD}_defconfig default setting of each board (This commit was automatically generated by a conversion script based on boards.cfg) In Linux Kernel, defconfig files are located under arch/${ARCH}/configs/ directory. It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the command line for cross compile. But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line. Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done. That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a single directory ./configs/.
