2008-07-16IDE: Report errors during drive reset back to user spaceElias Oltmanns1-0/+2
Make sure that each error condition during the execution of an HDIO_DRIVE_RESET ioctl is actually reported to the calling process. Also, unify the exit path of reset_pollfunc() when returning ide_stopped since the need of ->port_ops->reset_poll() to be treated specially has vanished (way back, it seems). 2008-07-16Update documentation of HDIO_DRIVE_RESET ioctlElias Oltmanns1-3/+2
Alter the entry for HDIO_DRIVE_RESET in Documentation/ioctl/hdio.txt to reflect a functional change in the driver. Besides, the entry has been inaccurate before. 2006-11-30Fix typos in /Documentation : 'U-Z'Matt LaPlante1-1/+1
This patch fixes typos in various Documentation txts. The patch addresses some +words starting with the letters 'U-Z'. Looks like I made it through the alphabet...just in time to start over again +too! Maybe I can fit more profound fixes into the next round...? Time will +tell. :) Signed-off-by: Matt LaPlante <kernel1@cyberdogtech.com> Acked-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@xenotime.net> Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de>
2006-10-03Fix "can not" in Documentation and KconfigMatt LaPlante1-1/+1
Randy brought it to my attention that in proper english "can not" should always be written "cannot". I donot see any reason to argue, even if I mightnot understand why this rule exists. This patch fixes "can not" in several Documentation files as well as three Kconfigs. 2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds2-0/+2036
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
