2017-06-29pinctrl: armada-37xx: Fix uart2 group selection register maskKen Ma1-2/+3
If north bridge selection register bit1 is clear, pins [10:8] are for SDIO0 Resetn, Wakeup, and PDN while if bit1 is set, pins [10:8]are for GPIO; when bit1 is clear, pin 9 and pin 10 can be used for uart2 RTSn and CTSn, so bit1 should be added to uart2 group and it must be set for both "gpio" and "uart" functions of uart2 group. 2017-06-16pinctrl: mvebu: add driver for Armada CP110 pinctrlHanna Hawa3-0/+692
This commit adds a pinctrl driver for the CP110 part of the Marvell Armada 7K and 8K SoCs. The Armada 7K has a single CP110, where almost all the MPP pins are available. On the other side, the Armada 8K has two CP110, and the available MPPs are split between the master CP110 (MPPs 32 to 62) and the slave CP110 (MPPs 0 to 31). The register interface to control the MPPs is however the same as all other mvebu SoCs, so we can reuse the common pinctrl-mvebu.c logic. This commit adds a pinctrl driver for the pin-muxing controller found in the AP806 part of the Marvell Armada 7K and 8K SoCs. Its register interface is compatible with the one used by previous mvebu pin controllers, so the common logic in drivers/pinctrl/mvebu/pinctrl-mvebu.c is used. 2017-06-16pinctrl: mvebu: remove the offset property for regmapGregory CLEMENT2-6/+2
The offset property of the pinctrl node, when a regmap is used in the device tree, was never used nor documented in the binding. Moreover, the compatible string is enough to let the driver know which offset using. So this patch removes the property and move the information at the driver level. The Armada 37xx SoCs can handle interrupt through GPIO. However it can only manage the edge ones. The way the interrupt are managed is classical so we can use the generic interrupt chip model. The only unusual "feature" is that many interrupts are connected to the parent interrupt controller. But we do not take advantage of this and use the chained irq with all of them. The Armada 37xx SoC come with 2 pin controllers: one on the south bridge (managing 28 pins) and one on the north bridge (managing 36 pins). At the hardware level the controller configure the pins by group and not pin by pin. This constraint is reflected in the design of the driver: only the group related functions are implemented. 2017-02-13pinctrl: mvebu: make bool drivers explicitly non-modularPaul Gortmaker9-65/+9
None of the Kconfigs for any of these drivers are tristate, meaning that they currently are not being built as a module by anyone. Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that when reading the drivers there is no doubt they are builtin-only. All drivers get the exact same change, so they are handled in batch. Changes are (1) use builtin_platform_driver, (2) dont use module.h (3) delete module_exit related code, (4) delete MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE, and (5) delete MODULE_LICENCE/MODULE_AUTHOR and associated tags. For the dove driver we explicitly disallow a driver unbind, since that doesn't have a sensible use case anyway, and it allows us to drop the ".remove" code for non-modular drivers. Since module_platform_driver() uses the same init level priority as builtin_platform_driver() the init ordering remains unchanged with this commit. We deleted the MODULE_LICENSE etc. tags since all that information is already contained at the top of the file in the comments. 2016-07-24pinctrl: fix pincontrol definition for marvellAndreas Klinger1-42/+43
On Marvell mv88f6180 with pin control driver one can not use multi purpose pins 35 through 44. I'm using this controller on an embedded board and i found that the pin multiplexing is not the same as in the hardware spezification. This patch alters the pin description so that mpp pins 0 to 19 as well as 35 to 44 are usable. 2015-12-09pinctrl: mvebu: complain about missing group after checking variantSebastian Hesselbarth1-13/+16
Common MVEBU pinctrl driver core gets an array of controls to modify a specific set of registers and an array of modes for each pingroup from each of the different SoC families of MVEBU. Some SoC families comprise different variants that differ in available pingroups and also controls, but to ease driver development, we can pass a variant mask to disable specific pingroups for some variants. However, controls are limited to the true number of pinctrl groups avaiable on a variant. Now, when pinctrl core driver parses over above arrays, it tries to match modes with available controls and complains about missing controls for modes that are passed to the core but actually are not avaiable on a variant with: kirkwood-pinctrl f1010000.pin-controller: unknown pinctrl group 36 This warning is a false-positive and annoying, so move the warning after we checked the variant mask for each mode setting. Also, if there is no supported setting for this variant, do not complain at all. 2015-06-10pinctrl: make pinctrl_register() return proper error codeMasahiro Yamada1-2/+2
Currently, pinctrl_register() just returns NULL on error, so the callers can not know the exact reason of the failure. Some of the pinctrl drivers return -EINVAL, some -ENODEV, and some -ENOMEM on error of pinctrl_register(), although the error code might be different from the real cause of the error. This commit reworks pinctrl_register() to return the appropriate error code and modifies all of the pinctrl drivers to use IS_ERR() for the error checking and PTR_ERR() for getting the error code. After updating to the latest Armada XP datasheet, we discovered that there is a second SPI bus accessible from the MPP pins, called 'spi1'. In order to be consistent with other SoCs having two SPI busses, this commit renames the functions of the first SPI bus to 'spi0' instead of just 'spi'. This commit obviously breaks the DT backward compatibility for the people using the "spi" function name in their Device Tree. This commit normalizes the naming of the Ethernet txclkout pin to be the same accross Marvell SoCs. It is worth mentioning that the DT binding documentation of the Armada XP was wrong for MPP12: it said the function was ge1(txd0), while it is in fact ge1(txclkout). It is however not really a fix worth sending to stable since it does not change the behavior, and the driver itself was correct. Since only the subnames are changed, DT backward compatibility is not affected. This commit normalizes the naming of the TDM pins accross the different Marvell SoCs. Mainly it consists in: * Removing the 'n' from signal names: 'intn' becomes 'int' and 'rstn' becomes 'rst' * Renaming the main name 'tdm2c' to 'tdm' on Armada 38x. * Change the main name 'tdm-1' to 'tdm' for one of the pins of the Armada XP The last two changes affect DT compatibility, but since the TDM interface is nowhere near being supported in mainline, it should not be considered to be a serious problem at this point. All SoCs use "nand" to designate NAND pins, only Armada 39x is using "nd", which is not consistent. This commit fixes that by renaming the corresponding functions. It also changes the subnames from rbn0/rbn1 to rb0/rb1, to respect the convention used everywhere that we don't encode the 'n' part of signal names. While this commit changes the main name of function, therefore potentially breaking the DT compatibility, this is not a problem since Armada 39x is a brand new SoC which isn't used in production yet.
