From 639b9e34f15e4b2c30068a4e4485586af0cdf709 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Akinobu Mita Date: Mon, 30 Jul 2012 14:40:55 -0700 Subject: string: introduce memweight() memweight() is the function that counts the total number of bits set in memory area. Unlike bitmap_weight(), memweight() takes pointer and size in bytes to specify a memory area which does not need to be aligned to long-word boundary. This patch: The notifier error injection provides the ability to inject artifical errors to specified notifier chain callbacks. It is useful to test the error handling of notifier call chain failures. This adds common basic functions to define which type of events can be fail and to initialize the debugfs interface to control what error code should be returned and which event should be failed.
