2011-08-10crypto: sha1 - export sha1_update for reuseMathias Krause1-4/+5
Export the update function as crypto_sha1_update() to not have the need to reimplement the same algorithm for each SHA-1 implementation. This way the generic SHA-1 implementation can be used as fallback for other implementations that fail to run under certain circumstances, like the need for an FPU context while executing in IRQ context. 2011-06-30crypto: sha1_generic - use SHA1_BLOCK_SIZEMandeep Singh Baines1-5/+6
Modify sha1_update to use SHA1_BLOCK_SIZE. Signed-off-by: Mandeep Singh Baines <msb@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2009-07-11crypto: sha1_generic - Add export/import supportHerbert Xu1-16/+25
This patch adds export/import support to sha1_generic. The exported type is defined by struct sha1_state, which is basically the entire descriptor state of sha1_generic. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2008-12-25crypto: sha1 - Switch to shashAdrian-Ken Rueegsegger1-25/+31
This patch changes sha1 to the new shash interface. Signed-off-by: Adrian-Ken Rueegsegger <ken@codelabs.ch> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>

Thanks for the suggestion, the init() is replaced with <algorithm name>_mod_init () and fini () is replaced with <algorithm name>_mod_fini. 2007-11-02cleanup asm/scatterlist.h includesAdrian Bunk1-1/+0
Not architecture specific code should not #include <asm/scatterlist.h>. This patch therefore either replaces them with #include <linux/scatterlist.h> or simply removes them if they were unused. Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <jens.axboe@oracle.com>
2007-10-10[CRYPTO] sha: Add header file for SHA definitionsJan Glauber1-5/+3
There are currently several SHA implementations that all define their own initialization vectors and size values. Since this values are idential move them to a header file under include/crypto. Signed-off-by: Jan Glauber <jang@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2007-10-10[CRYPTO] sha: Load the SHA[1|256] module by an aliasSebastian Siewior1-0/+142
Loading the crypto algorithm by the alias instead of by module directly has the advantage that all possible implementations of this algorithm are loaded automatically and the crypto API can choose the best one depending on its priority. Additionally it ensures that the generic implementation as well as the HW driver (if available) is loaded in case the HW driver needs the generic version as fallback in corner cases. Also remove the probe for sha1 in padlock's init code. Quote from Herbert: The probe is actually pointless since we can always probe when the algorithm is actually used which does not lead to dead-locks like this.
