2009-03-19[ARM] pass reboot command line to arch_reset()Russell King1-1/+1
OMAP wishes to pass state to the boot loader upon reboot in order to instruct it whether to wait for USB-based reflashing or not. There is already a facility to do this via the reboot() syscall, except we ignore the string passed to machine_restart(). This patch fixes things to pass this string to arch_reset(). This means that we keep the reboot mode limited to telling the kernel _how_ to perform the reboot which should be independent of what we request the boot loader to do. 2009-02-19[ARM] 5363/1: Shark cleanup and new defconfigAlexander Schulz1-4/+44
This includes a new defconfig for the Shark and some changes to the mach-shark directory to avoid namespace pollution and to switch the rtc to the newer driver. Signed-off-by: Alexander Schulz <alex@shark-linux.de> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-11-28[ARM] shark: avoid polluting the kernel's namespaceRussell King1-0/+2
Avoid unnecessarily pollution of the kernel's namespace by avoiding mach/hardware.h in mach/io.h. Include this header file where necessary. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2008-09-06[ARM] Convert asm/io.h to linux/io.hRussell King1-1/+1

2008-01-28[ARM] Fix timer damage from d3d74453c34f8fd87674a8cf5b8a327c68f22e99Russell King1-2/+0
Move the xtime write mode seqlock into timer_tick(), so it only surrounds the call to do_timer(). This avoids a deadlock in update_process_times() ... hrtimer_get_softirq_time() which tries to get a read mode seqlock on xtime, thereby preventing booting. 2007-05-08Add IRQF_IRQPOLL flag on armBernhard Walle1-1/+1
Add IRQF_IRQPOLL for each timer interrupt. 2006-10-06Initial blind fixup for arm for irq changesLinus Torvalds1-2/+2
Untested, but this should fix up the bulk of the totally mechanical issues, and should make the actual detail fixing easier. Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2006-07-02[PATCH] ARM: fixup irqflags breakage after ARM genirq mergeThomas Gleixner1-1/+1
The irgflags consolidation did conflict with the ARM to generic IRQ conversion and was not applied for ARM. Fix it up. Use the new IRQF_ constants and remove the SA_INTERRUPT define Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

2006-01-13[ARM] 3260/1: remove phys_ram from struct machine_desc (part 2)Nicolas Pitre1-1/+0
Patch from Nicolas Pitre This field is redundent since it must be equal to PHYS_OFFSET anyway. Now that no code uses it anymore, mark it deprecated and remove all initializations from the tree. Signed-off-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@cam.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2005-09-08[SERIAL] Use an enum for serial8250 platform device IDsRussell King1-1/+1
Rather than hard-coding the platform device IDs, enumerate them. We don't particularly care about the actual ID we get, just as long as they're unique. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-07-16[PATCH] ARM: 2815/1: Shark: new defconfig, fixes with __io and serial portsAlexander Schulz1-2/+2
Patch from Alexander Schulz This patch brings a new default config file for the shark and fixes a compilation issue with io addressing and a runtime problem with the serial ports, where I corrected a wrong regshift value. These are all shark specific files so I hope it is ok to put them in one patch. Signed-off-by: Alexander Schulz <alex@shark-linux.de> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-07-03[PATCH] ARM: Remove machine description macrosRussell King1-5/+7
Remove the pointless machine description macros, favouring C99 initialisers instead. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-06-26[PATCH] ARM: Add SA_TIMER flag to timer interruptsRussell King1-2/+2
VST needs to know which timer handler is for the timer interrupt. Mark all timer interrupts with the SA_TIMER flag. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
